DONKEY BEACH is a musical comedy based on the 1960s beach movies, featuring original choreography by Danielle Georgiou, Artistic Director of the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group. Following the tradition of other works from the award-winning company, DONKEY BEACH will explore the themes of it’s source material, deconstructing the style, and presenting a fresh, exciting, and chilling look at pop-culture. The theme of escape will be brought to life from a new script from Ruben Carrazana and original music from Justin Locklear, Trey Pendergrass, and Cory Kosel, which will be performed live! From era-specific to the experimental, DONKEY BEACH will take its audience through an all-too-familiar look at the real cost of getting away from it all!
