African-Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and Women all served honorably in the armed forces and at home during WWI. While they all had to fight for the right to serve their country, a contested struggle was also going on at home for their equality. Whether it was for equal rights, the right to vote, or to even be American citizens their cause for justice and freedom under the law was a long and difficult one.
