Description: Introduction to Printmaking will provide a beginner's level of education to students interested in learning a new and exciting medium. Printmaking can seem daunting as it is a process oriented medium, however, this class offers 'relief' from those worries by providing a warm atmosphere and productive guidance. Students will learn about the basics of relief printing, and will utilize this knowledge by carving linoleum blocks and running the blocks through the press to create unique editions of work. From single color to multi-color block prints, Introduction to Relief Printmaking will provide students a new avenue to create their art. Previous experience not required.
