Luke Albert Combs was born in Asheville (North Carolina) in 1990 and is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He began his musical journey at a young age by singing and he was a part of various high school vocal groups. He learnt to play the guitar in college and his debut country music performance was at Appalachian State University. He moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music and released his debut extended play (The Way She Rides) in 2014. His musical style is best described as a blend of contemporary country (a subgenre of country music that primarily draws from classic honky tonk, but also boasts all the advantages of updated production techniques and equipment, proving that pure country music can sound authentic yet modern) and country pop (a blend of country music and pop music developed by artists of the former out of a desire to reach a larger, mainstream audience).
