A native of the "Bible belt" state of Texas, David Mann masterfully showcases his God-given talents in today's most dynamic and distinguished genre. He is a multifaceted actor and the 2011 NAACP Award winner for Outstanding Actor In A Comedy Series for his role as Mr. Brown in Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns. When David is not on set shooting, he brings his live comedy show to venues around the country and is a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association. Along with his wife, Tamela, David is the president of an independent music and entertainment label, Tillymann Music Group, and the co-host of a new cooking and lifestyle TV show, Hanging With The Manns, which follows the dynamic couple as they cook-up delicious recipes in the kitchen and go on hilariously wild adventures together, He is also the co-star of the upcoming sitcom Mann and Wife.Since accepting what he calls “God’s assignment,” Akintunde has followed the call to entertain and share a Christian message through stand-up comedy, writing, acting, producing, and directing. In 2003, he was named joke/ monologue writer for the syndicated television series It’s Showtime at the Apollo, and has written monologues for comedian Monique for the 2004 BET Awards ceremony and Chris Tucker for the 2005 NAACP Image Awards. Televised appearances include BET, TBS, The Word Network, TBN and The Gospel Music Channel, and he has also made multiple appearances on the Stellars Awards Gospel Music Show. Akintunde has headlined or participated in eight national tours in the past 5 years, and toured with Pastors Creflo and Taffi Dollar on the “Change Experience" Tour for 4 years. A sought-after screen and television writer with more than 350 original TV episodes to his credit, Akintunde recently wrapped two seasons as Head Writer and Producer for BET Networks’ The Monique Show. In addition to his comedy, Akintunde and his wife, Eunissa, founded Blaze Mentoring, a full-service after school program, and The Search For The One stand-up comedy talent search, which has awarded more than $25,000 to Christian & Gospel Comedians over the past 6 years.The winner of BET’s 2011 reality series Sunday Best, St. Louis native Amber Bullock had just about given up hope when she auditioned for the televised gospel singing competition. After to Dallas to care for her sick mother, a car accident had left the aspiring singer injured and unable to care of her daughter, who was sent home to St. Louis to be with her father. Fortunately, Dallas' final day of Sunday Bestauditions coincided with a good day for Bullock, and the singer nailed it, with series regulars like Kirk Franklin and Donnie McClurkin taking notice. During the season finale, Bullock won with her version of "A City Called Heaven," which would later appear on her debut album Thank You that was released later that year.
