What does it take to become a chef? In partnership with The Witte Museum, learn to chop, dice and slice as we dive into the world of cooking. From preparing food, to cleaning, to writing recipes, we will explore all the qualities a chef has in the kitchen. Campers will cook their own lunch each day in addition to a variety of other recipes. Virtual CHEF Camp includes all ingredients needed for campers to create a lunch and a snack each day, plus several create-a-side recipes throughout the week for family dinners. Each day campers will connect via the Zoom online platform with Camp instructors from the San Antonio Botanical Garden and The Witte Museum (between 9 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m.). In between Zoom sessions, campers will enjoy do-at-your-own pace activities with provided instructions. Every other week of CHEF camp will have variation in recipes, so repeating a camp will still provide each camper with an engaging and fun experience. Includes admission to the San Antonio Botanical Garden during the week of camp.
