2018 San Antonio Earth Day Event

Do you want to learn more about how to protect and improve the planet and local environment? Earth Day reminds us that the earth is our home and is the source of all the resources that we need to live. Come learn how to protect and nourish the earth through live demonstrations, activities, and workshops on going off-grid with solar, water conservation, home energy efficiency, reducing our carbon footprint, vegan living, composting, mulching, improving air quality, supporting bee and butterfly pollination, gardening with Texas friendly plants, urban farming, and more!

There will be a junk to funk “trashion” show, earth friendly art activities, environmental speakers, a social bike ride with 5 blocks of road closure to cars, kid friendly activities, earth day fitness opportunities, yoga in the park, sale of Texas friendly plants, sale of vegan clothing and bags, live music by Los Nahuatlatos, and vegan/vegetarian delicious food! The MC for the event is Elaine Ayala of SA Express News.

Raffles: 6 bikes, chicken coop, earth wise vacation, solar powered backpack, composting bins, and plants!

9:15 AM – Earth Day Yoga in the Park
9:30 to 12 PM – SATX Social Bike Ride, temporary road closure along 5 blocks of Cincinnati so families can run, bike and enjoy the street without cars!
10 AM to 3 PM – 2018 Earth Day Event
