While we will not be offering our traditional Camp Zoo experience this summer, we didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to connect campers to the Zoo with fun and engaging content. This summer, we are excited to introduce Camp Zoo To You. Campers will experience animal encounters, behind-the-scenes tours, guided visits to Zoo exhibits, craft and learning activities, and scientific investigations from the comfort of home.
How does a Zoo create a home for animals? Campers will be able to answer that question and will develop their knowledge of zoology and animal care. Each topic will focus on a specific group of animals to learn about their adaptations, habitats and how we create exhibits that meet varied animal needs. Within each topic, campers will design and create their own Zoo exhibit. And who knows? Maybe their design will be inspiration for a new or redesigned Phoenix Zoo exhibit!
