In a time of uncertainty about water security in the Quad-City area, can lessons from our history help us shape our future?
A refreshing take on the topic of water management, GROUNDWATER To enact a law for the common good… makes its Northern Arizona debut in Prescott on May 17th.

This 26-minute documentary, told with humor and through moving interviews, recounts the contentious battle among farms, cities, and mines that led to the passage of the celebrated Groundwater Management Act of 1980 - Arizona’s most significant step in protecting its water resources.

Following the film, renowned water authority Kathleen Ferris will lead a diverse panel of state and local water experts, along with filmmaker Michael Schiffer (who wrote the features Colors, Lean on Me, and Crimson Tide) to engage the audience in a creative solutions-oriented conversation. Ms. Ferris was involvedin the Act’s negotiations, supervised drafting, and produced the film.
There are no events happening in the near future.
