Stipends are available for educators who live more than 50 miles from Wings Over the Rockies.
Upon successful completion of Apollo University, three graduate credit hours are available through Adams State University, and all educators will earn 45 hours of continuing education. Lunch is provided.
Apollo University includes:
• Guest speakers including Apollo veterans Lawrence Kuznetz and Tom Chambers; Exhibits specialist Chuck Stout and Apollo expert Steve Kelly; and National Geographic author and NASA expert David Aguilar.
• Labs and activities that encompass technology, engineering design, history, literacy, art, and ways to integrate concepts and topics across all content areas.
• Take-home kits full of exciting materials for your classroom that will allow you to conduct activities back at your school.
There will also be other optional opportunities for educators to participate in after-hours Apollopalooza events. These involve evening guest speakers, movies, space trivia, and more.
