Tortuga is a Denver based electronic music duo. Comprised of producer/musician Ryan Mahrer and producer/engineer Tyler Arndt. Together they pull inspirations from their mutual love of blues/jazz/funk/soul/hip hop/electronic music and fuse their characteristics. Ryan Mahrer of ||R|M|M|| is a Colorado native, graduating from CSU, and currently employed by the Denver branch of AEG Live. Tyler Arndt of TA|XCI also a Colorado native, choose to study audio engineering, and music business in Atlanta, GA. We are proud to present our debut EP “Back Home”. With distance as our greatest challenge, we set forth collaborating on musical ideas, using dropbox to transport our files, and meeting only twice physically before the release. Back Home is a statement of our genre bridging fusion of past, present future; analog and digital; fact and fiction. A journey of two friends through uncharted musical landscape, and worlds.
