Modeled after the hit TV show, Dancing with Boulder Stars is an annual event to celebrate and help to fund the organization’s mission to empower women and eliminate racism. The evening brings together members of the community by recruiting local celebrities to train with professional dance coaches in teams of two and then compete with one another in front of judges and a live audience. Dance routines and styles are extremely diverse and entertaining. Audience members vote for their favorite teams via donations, which benefit YWCA Boulder County. Teams also have the opportunity to compete for and receive votes in advance of the live event.
