Blister 66 was one of the biggest rock/nu-metal acts to come out of the mile high city! Formed in the summer of 1996 by vocalist Chris Dellinger Blister quickly rose to baller status being able to headline the Ogden Theatre by their second show ever played. After a few line-up changes they put out their first demo called “Throw it in Dry” in the summer of 97 and hit the road gaining an extensive following all the way up the west coast. After grinding for a few years they would settle into the line-up that would put out their biggest record ever “White Trash Summer.” That line-up consisted of Dellinger, Philo Sudberry, Joe Sego, and Jeff Gust. The album listening party was on 4/20 1999 with the official release party soon after. Being that the album premiered on the same day as the Columbine tragedy that would set the tone for the next album that was picked up NEH/MTM Records entitled “Middle Amerikan Tragedy” That record would also introduce Taylor Steele on guitar. Blister66 continued to tour until like many good things they came to an end in 2004. During their 8 year run in Denver they managed to pull in 5 Westword Music Showcase awards being one of the only Hard Rock acts in the Hall of Fame for the Showcase, played the Warp Tour numerous times, rocked the KTCL Big Adventure and shared the stage with all of the hottest acts for that time period including Limp Bizkit, Staind, Mudvayne, Suicidal Tendencies, Betty Blowtorch, Social Distortion, Incubus and countless more. With 2019 being the 20th anniversary it is time to re-live the magic and pull out the trailer one more time. The line-up for the show will include the classic crew of the W.T.S. album and will feature drummers from Dellinger’s current band Lola Black, Stelly Dean and Ryan Oakes along with Taylor Steele, DJ Bird 1, and Sean Coon rounding out the chaos. Party like it’s 1999 W.T.S. 20 anniversary show to be held at the historic BlueBird Theater Friday July 19th!!
