Equal parts stage musical and rock concert, We’re Gonna Die is a cabaret-style musical written by experimental NYC playwright Young Jean Lee that celebrates the unifying nature of human mortality. We’re Gonna Die premiered in 2011 at Joe’s Pub in New York City as the 11th play in the hallowed 13P playwriting coalition.

JAKE NICE
Jake Nice is a theatre-maker and musician based in Dallas. In April 2017 Jake produced and directed the North Texas premiere of We’re Gonna Die, a touring production that showcased local musicians at each venue in Dallas, Denton, and Fort Worth. Other directing projects include Justin Lemieux’s upcoming solo show Warm Soda (which will play locally at Theatre Too before traveling to New York for the United Solo Theatre Festival), Hypochondria via The Tribe, and The Burial at Thebes, In the Boom Boom Room at SMU. Jake’s composing credits include PrismCo’s Midas, House Party Theatre’s Frosty: Songs of Redemption, and an upcoming production of Iphigenia at Aulis & Tauris at SMU. Jake also writes and performs with his band Surprising Flavor. He holds a B.F.A. in Theatre Studies from Southern Methodist University.
