AB Quintanilla and Elektro Kumbia is a group that fuses traditional Cumbia with pop and electronica. Their debut album, KUMBIA SHOTS, scheduled to release in early 2017, is a tribute to some of the most popular Latin American songs including "Pasito Tun Tun," "African," "Snail Soup," "A Thousand Hours" among others . AB Quintanilla is a Grammy and Latin Grammy winner, producer, songwriter, artist and multi-instrumentalist and is the bassist of the group. The other Elektro Kumbia's group members are: Saul Cisneros (drums), Nicholas Band (keyboards), Ramon Vargas (vocals), Lissenne Juarez (congas & vocals), Ruben Rea (guitar), Noe Nieto (accordion and vocals) Alfonso and Zuriel Ramirez (vocals). As a producer and songwriter, AB Quintanilla has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and has worked alongside Superstars including, Selena Quintanilla, Ricky Martin, Juan Gabriel, Jorge Celedón, Yuri, Intocable, La Mala Rodriguez, Sin Bandera, Thalia, Christian Castro, Olga Tañon, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Kumbia Kings, among others. His songs have been recorded in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Korean and Chinese. During his successful career, AB Quintanilla has received multiple awards and recognitions including, Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy, Lo Nuestro Prize, Billboard Awards, Oye Awards, Musical Fury Awards, BMI Awards (including songwriter of the year for two consecutive years) and the Recipient of the BMI Million-Air award for the mega hit, "Forbidden Love."
