Award-winning songwriter and finalist on NBC’s The Voice, Josh Halverson has one goal when it comes to his music: “To express feeling.” His earnest recordings, “One Shot” and “Year of the Thunderbird,” blend his current acoustic roots sound with shades of the rollicking R&B and rock ‘n roll he grew up loving. A member of the Lower Sioux community, he received the Artist of the Year and Best Folk Recording awards at the 17th Annual Native American Music Awards this year.
