Just as André Butron wrote poetry inspired by Joan Miró’s paintings, The Flame Foundation’s resident Dallas flamenco dancers Antonio Arrebola and Delilah Buitron in collaboration with flamenco jazz pianist Alex Conde, French Gypsy vocalist José Cortés, and guitarist, Calvin Hazen will perform flamenco tablao in response to projected images of Miró’s Spanish Dancers accompanied by stylized videography from media artist, Trenton Stephenson, whose work explores Miró’s influences in Barcelona and captures the playful innocence Miró’s work imparts on artists of all ages.
