The BIG BLOOM, South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center’s annual mega Plant Sale, garden festival, and $2 Admission Day, will be 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday, April 4, 8545 S. Staples St. Just $2 to shop and see the whole bloomin’ Botanical Gardens! (MEMBERS can enter free, AS EARLY AS 9AM.) Up to 6000 people can be expected, so it’s wise to bring a plant carrier. Hundreds of plants have been ordered from several Texas wholesalers, plus orchids from Hawaii and Florida, as well as blooming propagations from the Orchid Conservatory collections.
