The black-tie optional, New Orleans style gala event will include dinner, dancing, and a silent and live auction. The Heart of New Orleans will be brought to life at the Ortiz Center. Co-chairs Peggy & Avinash Ahuja and Mary & Charles H. Campbell, M.D. say attendees will enjoy scenes from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. While visiting the street style cafes, guests will be charmed by the iconic legends and traditions of the Big Easy for a celebration. The event will feature sounds of classic New Orleans jazz, delectable food, cocktails and entertainment… all while supporting a great mission and honoring local luminaries Janie & Wes Hoskins and Patti & J. Mark Morales, M.D. for their heartfelt contributions to the Coastal Bend community.

Heart Ball celebrates all our local volunteers, supporters, and the many successes we’ve achieved together in fighting heart disease and stroke. The annual event attracts over 500 of the city and state’s community leaders in medicine, business, and philanthropy and is the AHA’s premiere fundraising event to drive critical ongoing cardiovascular and stroke research.
