Paws & Claws is an auxiliary to the Gulf Coast Humane Society, the largest NO KILL shelter in South Texas.

This year’s Fur Ball will be our big 20th Anniversary fundraising event! We plan to make it our biggest event to date, therefore have moved it to the Congressman Soloman P. Ortiz International Center for November 18th. To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, instead of masquerade, the theme is ROARING 20’s!

We will have a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, live music, dog runway show, a CASINO, and more! For a Roaring 20’s good time, Flapper Dresses and 1920’s gentleman attire is encouraged at Fur Ball. Ladies Lavishing in accessories and Gents as Jay Gatsby or a bootlegger are always fun too! So get ready to let loose and ROAR your way to the top of the best-dressed competition!
