Cartooning (ages 6-10)

After viewing BAM! It’s a Picture Book: The Art Behind Graphic Novels currently on view in the Museum, we’ll draw our very own cartoon characters, creatures, animals and magical beasts. We’ll use pencil, pen, ink and paint to design funny faces, outrageous bodies and a unique story to go along with your characters.

Cartooning and Illustration (ages 11-15)

After viewing BAM! It’s a Picture Book: The Art Behind Graphic Novels currently on view, we’ll learn to develop our narrative and graphic abilities through the use of dip pens, brush and ink and acrylic paint. Projects may include a comic strip, an animation flip book and/or a graphic novel page for a favorite book.
