Relief Printmaking Workshop w/ Ben Munoz

During this printmaking workshop students will draw, carve, and print MDF wood blocks. Students should bring a sketch with them on the first day of the workshop. You will carve with relief printmaking tools (u-gauges and v-gauges) and print the blocks by hand using various types of barens. At the end of this workshop students will have completed their woodcut and made a full edition of prints. This workshop is open to artists and printmakers of all skill levels.
Ben will provide the Wood, Ink, Brayers, and Barrens for printing during the workshop.
Please bring the following:
-X-acto knife (V and U gauges are recommended but not mandatory, Power
Grip tools are a very affordable option available on Amazon)
- Pencil
-Eraser
-4 sheets of Printmaking or Mixed Media paper sized at 22x30
-Sketch for woodcut done in advance of first workshop class
-Positive attitude
