Time to have fun! Tony really enjoys portraits. You will explore your family’s tree, consider special moments and people, and consider their value to you.

A portrait, in my opinion, is not a reflection of a face but rather, it is a reflection of who the person is, their character, their personality, their life.

You are going to portray this person as a portrait. Incorporating the skills from the first painting session, students will apply their knowledge by designing and completing a family portrait.

This portrait has a very wide range of variables. To begin, who are you going to portray, what do you want to say about this person, how do you achieve this form of communication through visual means.

Next, what style of art? Abstract, Expressionism, Abstract-Expressionism, realistic, and many other forms, including but not limited to, a mixed media approach

What about your color pallet? Your work may be created with monochromatic, warm or cool hues, or full range of hues.
