Al Jackson was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. After graduating undergrad with a degree in biology and finishing grad school Al spent several years teaching middle school in Miami, FL. It was then that Al began his career in standup with material fueled by the constant nonsense he encountered from his students. After quitting teaching to pursue comedy full time Al moved to New York. Since then he has made a name for himself in comedy through permorming across the country and numerous tv appearances including his own 30 minute stand up special on Comedy Central. Al has been described as delivering hard nosed comedy with a laid back swagger and a giant smile. Al can next be seen on the John Oliver show August 3rd on Comedy Central.
