The Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) will host its tenth annual Corporate Battle of the Bands at ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Friday, May 5. Ten corporations from the greater Austin area will put their unsung talents to the test as they compete for the title of “Best Corporate Band.”

HAAM’s annual Corporate Battle of the Bands gives Austin’s CEOs, lawyers, engineers, tech geniuses, medical professionals and more the chance to transform into rock stars for the night on one of Austin’s most iconic stages. Performing genres from pop to heavy metal, competing bands from sponsors Cirrus Logic, HEB, AthenaHealth, Intel, RetailMeNot, Seton Healthcare, Wenzel Spine, NetSpend, Maxwell Locke & Ritter, and OpenSymmetry will each perform a 15-minute set to impress judges and the audience.

Mark Murray, former meteorologist from KVUE news, will emcee the event and banter with a panel of celebrity judges while they provide feedback on each performance.

“Corporate Battle of the Bands is an incredible event– it gives us a chance to highlight the individuals and companies who avidly believe in HAAM’s mission,” said Reenie Collins, executive director of HAAM. “Many of the corporations that compete have been participating for years and we are thrilled to have them back. Austin is full of talented musicians and you never know where you might find them.”
